September 3rd 2018 CAAC family activities

On September 3rd (Sunday) From 2:00 to 5:30 pm, the Canadian Chinese Autism Awakening Center (CAAC) and the Special Education Department at TBMS International Private School jointly organized an outdoor parent-child activities of the Chinese autism family in the GTA Greater Toronto Area. Due to the hot weather, we had to change the location from Milliken Park to Scarborough Church at 410 Goldhawk trail. Despite the change of location, we achieved a great success hosting the outdoor parent-child interaction.

On that day, a professional (Dr. XXX) was present to guide through the parent-child interaction and to carefully answered and addressed our families’ concerns and questions. We also have psychologists, special teachers and volunteers to play some fun games with children with autisms. The smiles from our children’s faces conveys feelings of happiness, which connects everyone together.

Our purpose is to help our children with autisms to get closer to nature, to feel the care and love from their parents, and friends around. It is the whole society’s responsibility to caring for children with autism. We welcome more autistic families, friends, and passionate volunteers to join for our future activities.

(The Photo-shooting during the event was for educational purposes only (volunteers focused)
