At 2 pm on October 26, the Chinese Autism Awareness Center had the opportunity to invite Sari Risen, a registered language trainer and professor at the University of Toronto, to give a lecture on language training for autistic children at North York Civic Center. Professor Risen’s expertise is in language therapy for linguistic disorders (including ASD), ABA, and many other treatment and training methods. With the help of the student to translate, she introduced various ways to enhance children’s language ability (such as ABA, positive reinforcement, etc.), and patiently answered questions from parents.
